Is your cheese suitable for freezing?

Yes, you can freeze our cheese. Whilst freezing can change the texture of our cheese making it crumbier, we recommend that you grate our cheese first to preserve its great taste! Once frozen, ideally the cheese should be used with 3 months.

If frozen, grated you can use our cheese straight from the freezer into any dishes you’re cooking, alternatively you can defrost in the fridge and use within 24 hours.

Is your packaging recyclable?

Our current packaging isn’t suitable for curb-side collection recycling, but can be recycled at soft plastic recycling centres.

We are exploring a number of opportunities to come up with a packaging solution that is fully recyclable.

Is your cheese suitable for vegetarians?

All of our cheese is made using vegetarian rennet and as such are suitable for vegetarians.

However, whilst our Cavern Aged Cheddar with Penderyn Whisky doesn’t directly use products unsuitable for vegetarians, the whisky is stored in third party casks who have their own processes, so we cannot guarantee that this particular cheddar is suitable for vegetarians.

Where is your cheese made?

All of our delicious cheese is made at our creamery on the Llyn Peninsula using only Welsh milk from our 154+ farmer cooperative members by our wonderfully expert cheesemakers.

Where does the milk used to make your cheese come from?

All of the milk we use to make our delicious Dragon branded cheese comes from our dedicated farms across Wales whom are members of our farmers cooperative, hold shares in the business and are all Red Tractor Assured

Is your cheese made with pasteurised milk?

Yes, all of our cheese is made with pasteurised milk.

What ingredients are used to make your cheese?

All of our cheese is made using 100% Welsh cows milk to which we add vegetarian rennet, starter cultures, and salt. 

All of which are required to make cheese.

Is your cheese free from nuts?

Yes, you’ll find no nuts in any of our cheese! Our manufacturing and packing sites all also nut free.

Is your cheese gluten free?

Yes, all of our products are naturally gluten free. 

Where can I buy Dragon Cheese?

You can pick up a pack of Dragon at Tesco, ASDA, Morrisons, M&S and many independent retailers across Wales. Visit our stockist map for more information.

How does Delivery work?

We dispatch orders direct from the creamery every Wednesday for delivery on Thursday.

Orders must be received by midday on Tuesday for guaranteed next day dispatch via DHL.

How is my Order Shipped?

All our orders are packed on site at the creamery and collected by DHL every Wednesday for next day delivery. 

All parcels are packaged using temperature controlled packaging and ice packs, maintaining the contents at a stable temperature throughout the delivery process.

What is your returns policy?

The normal statutory rights applying to returns and refunds, including a 14 day cooling off period, are not applicable to perishable goods such as cheese. If you are unhappy with any of the goods you have received, please inform us by email immediately and we will strive to resolve any issues, usually by offering a refund or sending a replacement if preferred.

We will endeavour to deliver on time, but late delivery will not be an acceptable reason for refusing products unless the Company is informed in writing before the products are dispatched.

All products must be checked upon receipt. Please contact us on the same working day as delivery if there are any problems.

Due to the nature of the goods we cannot be held responsible for the condition of goods if delivery cannot be made because there is no one at the delivery address.

If you are unhappy with a product please contact us immediately to discuss. In the event of a replacement or refund, please return all packaging with the product, unless advised otherwise.

Refunds will only be issued after any problems have been resolved and an outcome has been agreed by both parties that the product is of unsatisfactory quality. We will process the refund within 10 days of the problem being resolved.

If you cancel an order and are entitled to a refund, we will usually refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase. We will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any event, within 30 days of the day we received your valid notice of cancellation.
