Dydd Santes Dwynwen (or St Dwynwen’s Day) is based on the fifth century folk story of Dwynwen, a Welsh maiden and the prettiest of Welsh king Brychan Brycheiniog’s twenty-four daughters. Falling between Christmas and Valentine’s Day, the Welsh saint of love’s celebration day offers the perfect excuse to snuggle in for the evening with your partner and enjoy a delicious home-made meal for two.

And what better way to celebrate St Dwynwen’s day than with our Champagne risotto with cavern aged Cheddar infused with Penderyn whisky.
